Anteryon News – January 2008 Geoff Bertenshaw appointed President of Anteryon International
Anteryon with pleasure announces that from 17 January 2008 , Geoff Bertenshaw is appointed to the position of President of Anteryon International.
Geoff Bertenshaw ( aged 61) is the founder of Anteryon and was previously CEO of the business since its establishment in 1999. Now succeeded in the CEO role by Gert Jan Bloks, Geoff now takes responsibility for strategic development including investor relations at an exciting time in the growth of the business.
He will continue to support Anteryon in the growth of its innovative WaferOptics ™ business as well as the ongoing development of its current portfolio.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board Jan Holleman welcomes Geoff to this new role which maintains the benefit of his experience with Anteryon whilst adding the scope to strengthen the relationship with investors in the company.

Gert Jan Bloks appointed CEO of Anteryon
Anteryon with pleasure announces that from 17 January 2008 , Gert Jan Bloks is appointed to the position of CEO Anteryon.
He succeeds Geoff Bertenshaw who held the role as Founder of Anteryon and CEO to date.
Gert Jan Bloks ( aged 44) joins Anteryon from Alcatel- Lucent where he held the position of Director Carrier Business as well as responsibility for the integration of the Alcatel and Lucent organization in the Netherlands.
With ten years business experience in the high tech telecoms environment he brings a wealth of experience to Anteryon relevant to the exciting growth path which the company is now exploiting. Gert Jan Bloks will thus lead Anteryon in the growth of its innovative WaferOptics ™ business together with the ongoing healthy development of its current portfolio.

Anteryon High Precision Optics Arrays Enjoy Success in the Telecoms Market
Anteryon is enjoying substantial growth in its Optics for Telecoms product based on the roll out of ROADMS switching technology around the world.
Anteryon supplies micro optics collimator assemblies for ROADM MEMs based optical switching which are gaining acceptance in the telecoms infrastructure market. The increasing need for high band width capacity driven by internet video and other imaging demands is resulting in substantial investment in new telecoms infrastructure including ROADMS technology.
The Anteryon collimator fiber array product fulfills extreme demands of optical transmission performance combined with Telcordia compliance packaging and supports the success of Capella Photonics Inc. of California in this market.
We are pleased to see growing market demand for this product which is another example of investment in innovation by Anteryon. It is a successful demonstration of our core capabilities applied to a critical optical interface.

Anteryon appoints New CFO – Chief Financial Officer
Anteryon is pleased to announce the appointment of Arno Seuren as Chief Financial Officer.
Arno succeeds Nico van den Bliek who leaves due to retirement.
Arno joins Anteryon at an exciting stage in its growth and we look forwards to the contribution he will make towards our further success.
Arno brings with him the experience of managing finance in larger international companies including treasury and balance sheet development. He joins us from a € 150 mio revenue German company where he was Financial Director.
Arno is Dutch and aged 41. He joins the Management Team and reports to Geoff Bertenshaw (CEO ).

Anteryon Introduces Diffractive Optical Elements
ANTERYON BV, a leading manufacturer of replicated aspheric glass lenses, announces the availability of diffractive optical elements (DOE’s).
DOE's are used to reduce the number of optical elements in a system, to correct chromatic aberrations, to construct complex beam shapes, to reduce weight and costs.
Anteryon’s DOE’s are mainly used for beam shaping (line-, pattern-, circle-, crosshair generation) and phase / wavefront correction. The main applications are in the field of bio-technology, printing, sensing, imaging and optical metrology.

Anteryon Introduces Aspheric Collimator Lens for Blue Diode Lasers.
ANTERYON BV, a leading manufacturer of replicated aspheric glass lenses, announces the availability of new aspheric collimator lens objectives especially designed for blue 405nm diode lasers. The two standard designs - with and without cover plate – eliminate spherical aberrations targeting applications such as confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and micro array scanners.
Anteryon’s cold replication technology applies a thin polymer layer on top of a glass body. Our cost effective and unique process allows making large volume high quality diffraction limited refractive micro-optic lenses with numerical apertures beyond 0.85.
